Kelsey Swanson’s Mystery Boyfriend Explained: RHORI Star Opens Up About 10-Year Secret Relationship

Even as Bill L’Europa steps into the spotlight on The Real Housewives of Rhode Island, Kelsey Swanson has still not revealed the identity of her long-term boyfriend — with his face deliberately blurred or removed from photos throughout the episode.

In Episode 3, Kelsey opened up about the challenges in their decade-long relationship, particularly when it comes to starting a family. “I love my boyfriend, but he will never budge on having kids,” she told producers. “He has his own. But I don’t want to sell myself short of being a mom one day and having kids.”

Earlier in the season, Kelsey provided more insight into their unconventional dynamic. She described her boyfriend as coming from “one of the most prominent families in the state of Rhode Island.” The pair first met “on a boat” when she was just 19 years old, and they have now been together for ten years.

During the series premiere, she elaborated on their “don’t ask, don’t tell” arrangement: “For the first half of the year, my boyfriend is in Miami, and when he’s in Miami, he’s with somebody else. But now, I’m at that crossroads where I just hit 30, and I want more for myself.

I want to be in a committed relationship with one person. But at his age in his life, there’s not one thing he’s going to change. He is who he is, and either I accept it or I have to leave.”

Despite the complications, Kelsey made it clear in Episode 2 that she could find happiness either way. She told her castmates she “would be very happy,” whether she ultimately ends up staying with her longtime boyfriend or building a future with Bill.
