Daisy vs. Ben Explodes: “Told You So” Moments Reveal Who’s Really Running the Interior
The long-simmering war between Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher and Chef Ben Robinson finally reached a boiling point in Below Deck Down Under Season 4 Episode 13. After weeks of passive-aggressive tension, Daisy’s patience snapped as Ben repeatedly ignored her advice — only for the guests to prove her right every single time.
The flashpoint came during the charter with Joanna and her group of co-primaries. Ben made a chocolate cake despite Joanna specifically requesting vanilla. Daisy urged him to inform the guests about the change and later suggested he check their dinner preferences.
Ben shrugged her off, preferring to stay “isolated in the kitchen, doing what I want.” When the guests asked for pasta instead, Daisy hit him with the first “Told you so.”
The second came when she suggested homemade cookies — the guests loved them. By the end of the charter, Daisy’s calm but pointed frustration was impossible to ignore.
This isn’t new behavior from Ben. His resistance to collaboration dates all the way back to Episode 4, when his flirty distractions with Ellie caused missed radios and late food service.
In Episode 5, his timing was so bad that Captain Jason had to step into the galley himself to save the beach lunch. His lack of respect for meetings and chain of command has been an ongoing issue — from the tense $22k tip meeting in Episode 10, to showing up late again in Episode 12, and now missing the start of another tip meeting in Episode 13 while the entire crew waited.
Daisy, who has been “hanging on by a thread” since Episode 11, is clearly done playing nice. During the Heads of Department dinner, she directly called Ben out and demanded an apology. While he eventually gave one (and hugged it out), the damage to their working relationship appears deep.
With Captain Jason increasingly frustrated with Ben’s attitude and communication issues, this power struggle could decide the rest of the season. Is Ben simply a stubborn chef who wants creative freedom, or has his ego finally become too big for the yacht?
One thing is clear: right now, Daisy is the one truly running the interior — and she’s making sure everyone knows it.
Below Deck Down Under Season 4 airs Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo, streaming next day on Peacock.
