Kyle Richards Defends Inviting Dorit & PK to Alexia’s Wedding: “It Gave Me Hope” Despite Major Feud | RHOBH After Show
Kyle Richards is holding onto a small sliver of hope for her fractured friendship with Dorit Kemsley after Alexia Umansky’s wedding, according to new details from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 15 After Show.
In the bonus footage released after the Season 15 finale, Kyle explained that her husband Mauricio Umansky wanted both Dorit and his close friend PK Kemsley at their daughter Alexia’s wedding. She defended the decision, saying, “We invite both, and whoever’s not comfortable, they’re not gonna come.”
Kyle admitted the situation was awkward — especially when she saw Erika Jayne and Dorit standing at the bar but acting completely “invisible to each other.” However, she revealed that Dorit’s decision to attend anyway gave her unexpected hope:
“In spite of everything we’re going through after Italy, I did appreciate her showing up to Alexia’s wedding. That actually gave me hope that, like, that’s the Dorit that I know… She’s always been sweet with [my daughters]. It meant something to me.”
Kyle noted that Dorit did show up “head held high,” and while the interaction was minimal (just a brief kiss from Kyle and a quick “thank you”), she still saw it as a positive sign amid their ongoing conflicts.
A Season Full of Tension Between Kyle and Dorit
This wedding moment comes after a turbulent Season 15 filled with major blowups between the longtime friends.
The biggest explosion happened during the Italy trip in Episode 16, when Dorit stranded Kyle and Erika on the tarmac for over an hour without an apology, stormed off the “Last Supper” dinner after calling Erika a “c*nt,” and claimed that newcomer Bozoma Saint John had shown her more support than her friends of many years.
The rift continued at Rachel Zoe’s disco party, where Dorit was rude to Sutton Stracke, and escalated further when Kyle, Erika, and Sutton all skipped Dorit’s book cover reveal party.
Dorit later accused the group of “mean girl” behavior and lacking grace as she rebuilds her life post-separation from PK.
Despite the tension, Kyle has repeatedly listed the many times she supported Dorit over the years — including the 2019 home burglary, dog Lucy drama, and accusations of a fake accent.
At Kathy Hilton’s garden party in the finale, Kyle confronted Dorit directly about the constant fighting and the “one common denominator” in all the conflicts.
Kyle’s Own Marriage Struggles
Kyle’s comments about hope come as she has been openly reflecting on her own marriage to Mauricio. In the finale, she admitted she may soon “pull the plug” on their 27-year marriage, saying she’ll know when the time is right to walk away if she’s not being treated right.
The wedding itself was a beautiful highlight, with Kyle and Mauricio walking Alexia down the aisle together. Updates confirmed that Alexia and her new husband Jake are happily settled into married life.
Meanwhile, other cast members continue dealing with their own challenges: Erika is happily moving forward with her new boyfriend John “Shrek” McPhee while facing an upcoming trial, Dorit is preparing to release her memoir in June 2026, and the group is still processing the heavy personal storylines from the season, including Erika’s revelation about a past abusive relationship.
As the Season 15 reunion approaches, Kyle’s admission that Dorit’s presence at the wedding gave her “hope” raises questions about whether the two can repair their friendship or if the damage from Italy and the book party snub is too deep.
Will the reunion bring any real reconciliation, or will the “invisible” moments and lingering resentment continue?
