Emily Osment Jokes Hannah Montana Is Helping Her “Beat Alzheimer’s” on Georgie & Mandy Set
In a hilarious and heartfelt new interview, former Disney star Emily Osment revealed how her early days on Hannah Montana are still paying off — literally training her brain — while juggling life as a working mom on CBS’s Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.
The Young Sheldon spinoff star kicked off the chat by reflecting on missing the recent Hannah Montana 20th anniversary celebration because she was busy filming.
When asked how the multi-cam sitcom prepared her for her current role as Mandy, Osment didn’t hold back on the skills she’s carried with her.
“Oh, I mean, multi-cam is a skill that I’ve been able to take with me through a few different jobs, and I’m really grateful for it. It gives you a big sense of responsibility and memorization, and I’m hoping one day to beat Alzheimer’s because of that. It’s a good practice for memory.”
The self-deprecating punchline landed perfectly, showcasing Osment’s signature wit. But true to working-mom chaos, the conversation instantly pivoted to toddler life when someone quipped, “Oh, she bit a kid. Oh, boy.”
Osment (or a co-parent in the room) jumped in with parenting realness: “You got to get on that. We did. And we explained to her that biting is wrong, and if she’s upset, she should use her words.” The group erupted in laughter, with one voice adding, “What? Here’s a word. Pathetic.”
The lighthearted exchange perfectly captures Osment’s current world — balancing nostalgic career reflections with the everyday hilarity (and mild chaos) of raising a two-year-old while starring on one of TV’s hottest sitcoms.
Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage continues to deliver big laughs on CBS Thursdays (streaming on Paramount+), with season 2 currently airing and the show already renewed for season 3.
Fans love seeing Osment bring the same sharp timing she honed as Lilly Truscott to Mandy’s relatable, no-filter personality.
It’s clear Hannah Montana didn’t just launch Osment’s career — it’s still keeping her sharp, one memorized script (and one toddler discipline talk) at a time.
