Daisy vs. Ben Explodes: “Told You So” Moments Reveal Who’s Really Running the Interior
The long-simmering war between Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher and Chef Ben Robinson finally reached a boiling point in Below Deck Down Under Season 4 Episode 13.
Throughout the charter, Ben repeatedly brushed off Daisy’s advice, only for the guests to prove her right every single time. When Primary Joanna requested a vanilla cake, Ben made chocolate instead.
Daisy urged him to communicate the change with the guests and later suggested he check their dinner preferences. Ben shrugged her off, saying he’d “rather just be isolated in the kitchen, doing what I want.”
When the guests asked for pasta and then loved Daisy’s suggestion for homemade cookies, Daisy delivered not one, but multiple satisfied “Told you so” moments.
Her growing frustration was palpable — and completely understandable.
Tensions around Ben’s performance had been building for weeks. In Episode 5, his timing issues became so severe that Captain Jason stepped into the galley to salvage a beach lunch.
The problems persisted through Episode 10’s tense tip meeting and into Episode 12, where repeated lateness and attitude concerns drew frustration from both Daisy and Captain Jason.
By Episode 13, Daisy Kelliher had taken firm control of the interior, stepping up as a decisive leader during service. In contrast, Ben’s more isolated working style continued to create friction between departments.
During the Heads of Department dinner, she directly called Ben out and demanded an apology for his behavior and for pulling Ellie into their arguments.
Though Ben eventually hugged it out and apologized, the power dynamic on the yacht has shifted. Daisy is no longer just managing service — she’s asserting real authority, while Ben’s stubbornness and ego continue to create unnecessary friction.
As the season heads into its final charters, the big question remains: Will Ben finally learn to collaborate, or will his “isolated chef” mentality lead to more serious consequences from Captain Jason?
Below Deck Down Under Season 4 airs Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo, streaming next day on Peacock.
