“Do you like my dress?” Shamia asks, explaining she was torn between two options. Gerald’s reply? A flat, barely enthusiastic “Yeah.”

She keeps pushing: “Are you going to miss me?” and invites him to join her on the trip as her plus-one. Gerald barely musters, “No, I’ll let you handle that.”

The conversation then pivots to their ongoing surrogacy journey — the last transfer failed, legal documents for a new surrogate are coming soon, and Shamia even turns to their young daughter Shia to ask, “Do you want a little brother?” (Shia says yes… and a dog.)

Gerald’s response: “We’ll figure it out.” Delivered with all the excitement of someone waiting in line at the DMV.

Brooke Ashley, recapping the episode live, could not hold back. “He looked so checked out. I could not believe what I was watching.

It was very cringy,” she said. She added that she had “secondhand embarrassment” and joked she “would have cursed that man out” if it were her.

Brooke noted Gerald “couldn’t even fake the funk,” describing his energy as completely disengaged while his wife was putting their marriage, family expansion plans, and Housewives obligations on full display for the cameras.
