Sutton Stracke Nearly Quits Rachel Zoe’s Disco Party After Dorit’s “Condescending” Shade: “I’m Starting to Not Really Give a F*ck” on RHOBH
The drama from Italy followed the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ladies straight back to Beverly Hills, where Sutton Stracke almost walked out of Rachel Zoe’s Studio 54 disco-themed birthday party after feeling repeatedly dismissed and belittled by Dorit Kemsley.
In Episode 17, titled “Drama on the Dance Floor,” Sutton confronted Dorit after the latter gave an icy reception and made snide remarks about Sutton having “a lot of opinions” on how she should approach Kyle.
When Sutton suggested it would be nice if Dorit apologized for not speaking to Kyle since the explosive Italy dinner, Dorit shot back dismissively: “I’m very happy to hear your opinion, but that’s definitely not how I’m leading.”
Dorit then told her companions the conversation was “annoying” and muttered that she would “hate [Sutton] forever for this.”
Later, when Sutton directly told Dorit she had hurt her feelings by ignoring her mid-conversation, Dorit offered a half-hearted “I’m sorry your feelings were hurt” — which Sutton immediately questioned.
Dorit raised her voice and ended the exchange with a curt “Okay. Buh-bye!” followed by calling Sutton a “weirdo.”
Sutton was visibly hurt. She told Kyle she was leaving the party, saying Dorit had been “very rude” and “very condescending.”
In her confessional, Sutton described the behavior as “Mean Girl Dorit 101,” adding, “Oh, I don’t like something that you said, so now I’m going to make you feel real stupid and ignore you so you feel even smaller.” She later confessed to Kathy, “I’m starting to not really give a fcking sht.”
Kyle stepped in to stop Sutton from leaving, telling her, “You’re not going. We haven’t even danced yet. F*ck her.” Kyle also quipped in a talking head that if you meet more than one “*sshole” a day, “you’re usually the *sshole,” noting Dorit was now clashing with multiple friends.
Sutton Opens Up About Her Own Struggles
During the emotional exchange, Sutton revealed she has her own heavy burdens this summer. “I have things going on, too,” she told Kyle. “I’m now alone. And I have been holding it together this summer.” In her confessional, she shared the pain of dropping her youngest child off at college, calling it “stressful and hurtful.”
This latest clash builds on a season full of growing tension between Sutton and Dorit. Earlier, Sutton had been the one to bring up Dorit’s explosive comment that she had “protected Kyle for years” and could have “ended” her if she wanted — a remark that resurfaced during the chaotic Italy “Last Supper” dinner in Episode 16.
The Bigger Picture: Italy Fallout Still Lingering
The party drama comes hot on the heels of the disastrous final dinner in San Miniato, where Dorit’s friendship with both Erika and Kyle imploded.
Dorit stunned the table by claiming newcomer Bozoma Saint John had shown her more support than anyone else, prompting Erika to fire back about forgotten history and past support during Dorit’s separation from PK Kemsley.
That same dinner saw Dorit storm off after a brutal exchange with Erika (including the now-infamous “c*nt” comments) and followed Dorit stranding Kyle and Erika on the tarmac for over an hour without an apology.
At Rachel’s party, Erika told Boz she needed space from Dorit to decide if their friendship was “worth salvaging,” while Kyle described Dorit as being on a “path of destruction.”
Meanwhile, the season has been filled with heavy personal storylines: Erika’s revelations about surviving a recent abusive relationship and her ongoing legal battles, Amanda Frances opening up about escaping a controlling cult, and Dorit navigating single motherhood after years of homeschooling her children with PK.
As the reunion approaches and tensions continue to rise, Sutton’s near-exit from the disco party highlights how fractured the group has become — and raises questions about whether Dorit’s defensive post-separation attitude is pushing away even longtime friends.
