Rob Rausch Admits Reality TV ‘Messed Him Up’ — Why He’s Back in Therapy

In the middle of a fun, flirty Blind Date interview on Cosmopolitan, Rob Rausch dropped a surprisingly honest bombshell about the cost of reality TV fame.

The Alabama snake wrangler and The Traitors Season 4 winner revealed he recently returned to therapy after the intense experience left him struggling.

“I started therapy recently again because of what happened on Traitors,” Rob shared. “Reality TV just like messes you up. It’s like crazy for anybody.”

The 27-year-old, who masterfully betrayed fellow Traitor Eric Nam before claiming the entire $220,800 prize, admitted the constant paranoia, shifting alliances, and public pressure became overwhelming — even after already surviving two seasons of Love Island USA.

Rob was quick to normalize seeking help. “Therapy is good for anyone,” he added, showing a vulnerable side fans rarely see from the calm, strategic player who once chased down a purse thief in Paris, jumped a fence, and kept the cash — all for a girl he barely knew.

In the same conversation, he also opened up about personal growth, saying clear communication is something he’s “really focused on in the past couple years” with his girlfriend (the one he met in a bookstore and still keeps mostly private).

From catching snakes in his quiet Alabama hometown to becoming one of 2026’s biggest reality stars — and pulling off real-life heroics abroad — Rob is proving that even the toughest competitors sometimes need support to stay grounded.

The Traitors is streaming on Peacock.
