Manon, whose full name is Meret Manon Sarpong Bannerman, joined KATSEYE after competing on the 2024 Netflix reality series Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE (also known as The Debut: Dream Academy).
The 23-year-old Swiss singer and model, born June 26, 2002 in Lucerne, Switzerland, rose to fame through her vibrant social media presence on Instagram (@meretmanon) and TikTok, where she built a following as a biracial artist (Ghanaian-Italian heritage) blending pop music, fashion, and modeling. The group’s statement read: “After open and thoughtful conversations together, we are sharing that Manon will be taking a temporary hiatus from group activities to focus on her health and wellbeing.
