Carl Calls Out Kyle’s ‘Woe Is Me’ Attitude – Business Betrayal or Broke Best Friends?

Carl Radke didn’t hold back when he confronted Kyle Cooke about not investing in his Soft Bar project during Summer House Season 10 Episode 9 — and the conversation exposed deeper cracks in their longtime friendship.

At Kyle’s “old people” themed birthday party, Carl finally addressed the elephant in the room: despite investing in Loverboy when he was broke, Kyle refused to return the favor and invest in Soft Bar.

Carl felt slighted, pointing out that he believed in Kyle during a time when he didn’t have much money. Kyle’s defense? He claimed he was completely “tapped out” financially.

In a raw moment, Kyle admitted he only has a few months of funding left and that bankruptcy is a real possibility if Loverboy fails. “I’m out here trying to have fun, and I’m like, ‘I have three months to live,’” he said dramatically.

Carl wasn’t impressed. In his confessional, he called out Kyle’s response as classic “woe is me” behavior.

“I don’t think anything really got accomplished,” Carl said. “He was just like b*tching woes me. It’s a thing Kyle does. Kyle controls the conversation.”

Financial Stress Weighing on Everyone

Kyle’s money problems have been a recurring theme this season. In Episode 8, Ben revealed that Kyle is personally on the hook for millions in loans, and if Loverboy tanks, he could be bankrupt.

This financial pressure has also been cited as a contributing factor to Kyle’s explosive meltdown at Amanda in Episode 8, where he called her a “fcking dumbass btch” in front of the entire house.

The girls’ conversation with Amanda in Episode 9 further highlighted the stakes — Ciara pointed out that since Kyle and Amanda don’t have a prenup, his financial troubles will directly impact her too.

Friendship Tested

Carl’s frustration runs deeper than just business. He invested in Loverboy when he was in a tough financial spot because he believed in Kyle. Now that the roles are reversed, Kyle’s inability (or unwillingness) to do the same has left Carl feeling unsupported and dismissed.

This confrontation adds another layer to the growing tension surrounding Kyle this season.

Between his strained marriage with Amanda (which hit another low in Episode 9 when he admitted their relationship is in “trouble”), his new DJ career ambitions that Amanda has questioned, and now this business dispute with one of his closest friends, Kyle appears to be struggling on multiple fronts.

What’s Next?

After the conversation, Carl turned to Bailey for comfort, texting her to cheer himself up — a reminder of the budding connection between the two that started in Episode 7.

Meanwhile, Kyle continues to navigate massive financial pressure while trying to hold his marriage together.

As Season 10 continues, fans are left wondering: Is Carl’s anger justified, or is Kyle truly too broke to help a friend? And will this business disagreement create lasting damage in their friendship?

Summer House airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo and streams the next day on Peacock.
