Carl Hits His Breaking Point With Kyle Over Brother’s Anniversary – “If I’m Not Your Friend, Who Do You Got?”

Carl Radke has officially reached his limit with Kyle Cooke.

In Summer House Season 10 Episode 10, Carl confronted his longtime friend about something deeply personal: Kyle completely forgot to reach out to him on the anniversary of his brother’s passing.

“It’s literally insane I have to broach it,” Carl said, visibly hurt. “A real, real friend knows.”

The emotional moment came after Carl had already been stewing about Kyle’s refusal to invest in his Soft Bar project.

In Episode 9, Carl called out Kyle for not supporting him the same way Carl once supported Loverboy when he was broke. Kyle responded with his usual “woe is me” financial panic, claiming he only has a few months of funding left and bankruptcy is looming.

But forgetting (or ignoring) the anniversary of Carl’s brother’s death crossed a line.

Jesse tried to comfort Carl, telling him he’s been a great friend to Kyle and deserves the same energy back.

Carl agreed, saying he now understands how Amanda feels — being with someone who “doesn’t listen” and “just does whatever the f*ck he wants.”

Later, Carl pulled Kyle aside for a direct conversation. Kyle admitted there was “no excuse” and that he simply “spaced.” Carl struggled to fully articulate his hurt in the moment, but later told producers exactly how he felt:

“I think I wanted to say f*ck you… If I’m not your friend, who do you got?”

A Friendship Cracking Under Pressure

This isn’t just about one missed text. It’s the culmination of Carl watching Kyle spiral — between the massive financial stress that’s been weighing on him all season, the explosive fight with Amanda in Episode 8, and now this emotional blind spot.

Carl has been one of Kyle’s most loyal friends for years. He invested in Loverboy early on when money was tight. He’s stood by him through business ups and downs. But now Carl feels the support is painfully one-sided.

The fact that Carl turned to texting Bailey afterward for comfort speaks volumes. The budding flirtation between Carl and Bailey that started in Episode 7 is clearly becoming his emotional safe space while his friendship with Kyle frays.

The House Feels the Shift

The rest of the group is noticing the tension. Jesse, Ben, and others have been quietly discussing how Kyle’s behavior is affecting everyone around him.

Even West, who confronted Kyle about the way he spoke to Amanda, seems wary of the growing toxicity.

With Kyle admitting his marriage is in “trouble” and now this rift with Carl widening, the once-solid core of the house feels like it’s splintering.

Carl’s raw pain over his brother’s anniversary being overlooked feels especially heavy because it’s so human. While the show thrives on hookups, fights, and parties, moments like this remind viewers that real grief and real friendships are also at play.

As the season continues, this friendship breakdown could become one of the most significant shifts of Summer House Season 10. Carl has been patient for a long time — but it looks like he’s finally done making excuses for Kyle.

Summer House airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo and streams the next day on Peacock. The tension between Carl and Kyle is only expected to grow.
