Handpicked by Blake Shelton, Taylor Sheridan, and Keith Urban, the nine talented musicians continued their journey to earn the ultimate prize — a $250,000 cash award, a recording contract, and a coveted performance slot at Stagecoach.

But in a night filled with standout vocals, surprise appearances, and unexpected challenges, one contestant’s journey came to a heartfelt end.

🎤 A High-Stakes Night in Oklahoma City

For their third stop on The Road, the artists gathered at The Oklahoma Ranch, where they were divided into two groups for a two-night event. Each competitor performed both an original song and a cover, hoping to win over the live audience whose votes determined who would advance.

The first night featured Cassidy Daniels, Cody Hibbard, Jenny Tolman, and Forrest McCurren — all of whom have faced the pressure of being in both the top and bottom in past episodes. However, the night took an unexpected turn when Cody Hibbard battled through a sudden medical emergency — painful kidney stones — that affected his performance and threatened his run on the show.

To kick off the evening, The Road’s tour manager and country star Gretchen Wilson surprised fans with an electrifying performance of her hit “Here for the Party,” setting the tone for a night packed with emotion and energy.

🥇 Cassidy Daniels Tops the Leaderboard Again

For the third consecutive week, Cassidy Daniels emerged as the frontrunner. Her soulful cover of Chris Stapleton’s “I Think I’m In Love With You” and her original song “Southern Rock” earned rave reviews from both judges and fans.

“You were first to go — that says a lot,” Blake Shelton told her, noting how challenging it is to open the show and still dominate the competition.

⚠️ The Bottom Two and a Painful Goodbye

Once the votes were counted, Jenny Tolman and Forrest McCurren once again landed in the bottom two — a familiar and tense position for both. Despite strong feedback, it was Forrest McCurren, 35, from Jefferson City, Missouri, who was eliminated from The Road this week.

“You’ve got a really good light, Forrest,” Keith Urban told him as the crowd applauded his final moment on stage.

An emotional Forrest responded, “Thank you all for letting me be part of this. This is more than I ever expected.”

Gretchen Wilson praised Jenny Tolman’s performance, saying, “Jenny, you looked very comfortable tonight. You didn’t seem like you were missing anything.”
