Gia Giudice Remains Hopeful About Teresa and Melissa’s RHONJ Reconciliation, Teases Fresh Energy for Season 15

Gia Giudice says she is not worried that Real Housewives of New Jersey will destroy the hard-won peace between her mother Teresa Giudice and aunt Melissa Gorga. The 25-year-old shared an optimistic outlook on the family’s reconciliation while promoting the upcoming season.

After years of on-screen warfare between the two sides of the family, Teresa, brother Joe Gorga, and Melissa reconciled following Season 14. Bravo confirmed the series’ return for Season 15, which recently began filming with several new cast additions.

On Reality Nightcap, Gia was asked if she feared the show could stir up old drama.

“Honestly, you know, I feel like time heals all wounds,” she said. “And also as you get older, I think you really just realize how special and also sensitive time is and how it shouldn’t be taken for granted.”

She added firmly: “I truly believe with everything in me that this will never happen again, them fighting. And I do not think that they would ever make it get to that point again. We are all in such a good place. … It’s just not going to happen.”

In an interview with Us Weekly, Gia described a noticeably lighter atmosphere on set for Season 15.

“It’s been so fun,” the star said. “I filmed a little bit last week, and it’s great. I mean, just the energy in the room, and just the feeling of everything is so different, especially now that everyone is good, and we’re not fighting anymore. … It’s just such a different energy and vibe going into it, which I think is making it a lot more fun. It’s honestly beautiful to see. … It’s like a breath of fresh air.”

Gia also discussed her evolving approach to filming Season 2 of Next Gen NYC.

“[I filmed with] just more [of] an open mind,” she explained. “I was really excited to just dive deeper into my life, so I think I just approached it with my guard a little more down than I did season 1.”

The reality star, who recently moved into her own apartment, opened up about her personal growth captured on the show.

“I think you find Gia finding herself, honestly, and basically kind of coming to terms that it’s OK to leave [her mom’s house], and that my family will be OK without me,” she said. “I think that was a big pill for me to swallow. It wasn’t that I couldn’t move out, I could, and I had the means to. It’s never really a rush in Italian culture to move out of your parents’ house, so that was for starters, and then two, I just was so comfortable being there for my family. I am a person that my family relies heavily on, so it was just a little nerve-wracking for me to leave the house, but … it’s pretty amazing.”

Fan Reactions Mixed
While Gia expressed confidence in the family’s truce, online reactions have been more skeptical. Some viewers questioned whether the reconciliation is genuine or primarily motivated by the desire to revive the show, while others poked fun at her third-person references to herself and doubted that a reality series is the catalyst for her personal growth. A few also raised questions about the ratings performance of Next Gen NYC Season 1.

Overall, Gia’s comments paint an upbeat picture heading into what she hopes will be a more harmonious chapter for RHONJ.
