Danny Finally Admits He Lied About Drinking — But Is It Too Little, Too Late for the Group?

In Season 3 Episode 13 of The Valley, during the explosive Mexico trip, Danny Booko finally admitted some accountability — but it may have come too late to repair the damage.

Zack directly confronted Danny about lying to him regarding his drinking. Danny confessed that he did have a drink at Zack’s housewarming party and was caught with a White Claw at Brittany’s pool party.

He also admitted to “liking” certain social media posts about Janet and Jason, including the brutal one comparing Jason to a clown and Janet to a snake.

However, he continued to downplay the severity and defended his actions by citing his “PTSD and trauma” from last season’s character attacks.

This partial confession lands after a full season of “Dark-Side Danny” behavior. Viewers first saw cracks in Episode 2 when he dismissed Nia’s burnout.

It escalated in Episode 7 during the pageant prep when he was aggressive toward Nia, prompting Lala to call him out. By Episode 11, the group was already upset about the meal train snub, and now in Mexico (Episode 13), his lies about drinking have been exposed on camera.

Hot Take:

Danny’s admissions feel strategic rather than genuine. While he says “I apologize for that,” he still plays the victim card with his trauma narrative and refuses to fully own how his social media activity and drinking have hurt the group.

The timing — only admitting after being caught — makes it hard for many (especially Zack, Jasmine, and Janet) to believe him.

The Mexico meltdown has made one thing clear: the group is exhausted by the cycle of denial, partial apologies, and repeated drama. Danny’s latest confession might be a step forward, but after 13 episodes of the same patterns, many are wondering if it’s simply too little, too late.
