Drew & Shamea’s Awkward Apology Attempt Goes Wrong on RHOA S17 Episode 6
The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17 Dallas trip was supposed to be about bonding — but every single attempt at peace keeps blowing up in everyone’s faces.
In Episode 6, Drew Sidora and Shamea Morton decided it was finally time to bury the hatchet from last season. They stood up at lunch to apologize to each other… and immediately started arguing again. Classic Housewives.
The Cringiest “Apology” of the Trip
While the group was trying to enjoy lunch, Shamea told Drew she still wanted an apology for past comments. Both women stood up, ready to clear the air and move forward.
Instead of a quick hug-and-make-up moment, the conversation quickly turned into another heated discussion. The tension was so obvious that Cynthia Bailey had to step in as referee.
“Since we’re at a restaurant, maybe finish this conversation later,” Cynthia said, clearly trying to prevent another full-blown scene in public.
Shamea later claimed they “tried,” while Pinky Cole tried to spin it positively, saying the two were “getting close” to patching things up. Nobody at the table looked convinced.
Their Feud Has Been Simmering All Season
This wasn’t their first attempt at resolution. Back in Episode 1 at Porsha’s Mystic Island party, Drew called Shamea out over a shady YouTube apology video Shamea posted after the Season 16 reunion.
Drew felt Shamea had painted her as a liar in the video, and the editors even showed the receipts. Since then, Shamea has been tightly aligned with Kelli, while Drew has stayed more neutral and focused on moving forward.
The bad blood has lingered quietly in the background through Episodes 2–5, making this lunch “apology” feel long overdue — and completely doomed from the start.
Every Peace Talk Turns Into Chaos
The failed Drew-Shamea moment is just the latest example of how this entire Dallas trip is exposing cracks in the group. Right before lunch, Shamea and Kelli were still complaining about their dirty rooms from Episode 5.
Minutes after the awkward apology attempt, Cynthia and Pinky got into their own explosive argument about tone and “aggressiveness.”
It’s becoming clear: no one on this trip can let anything go.
What This Means for the Rest of the Season
Drew has quietly been one of the strongest cast members this season — quick-witted and good at keeping scenes moving.
Shamea, meanwhile, has been navigating new alliances while still carrying baggage from her fractured friendship with Porsha.
Their failed lunch reconciliation suggests these old grudges aren’t going anywhere anytime soon — especially not on a cast trip designed to force everyone together.
What do you think?
Can Drew and Shamea ever actually bury the hatchet, or is this feud destined to keep popping up all season? Was the apology attempt doomed from the jump?
