Tonight’s episode of Britain’s Got Talent (Episode 4) featured another wave of impressive young talent, and 11-year-old Nancy Tilley quickly became a highlight.
The talented musician from the Scarborough area delivered a lively and technically strong drumming performance that captured the energy of the room from the very first beat.
Who Is Nancy Tilley?
Nancy is an 11-year-old (soon to turn 12) musician and vocalist who has already achieved Grade 8 with Trinity College of Music in drumming. Her Instagram profile (@drummer_girl_nancy) describes her simply: “I am a musician and vocalist.
Trinity College of music Grade 8 drummer. This account is managed by my mum!” The page is full of rehearsal clips, live performances, family duets with her dad (Paul Tilley), and behind-the-scenes moments from gigs.
Her YouTube channel (@tilleylad / Drummer Girl Nancy), run by her dad, shows her covering songs, playing with bands, and sharing her musical journey.
Nancy has performed internationally, including drumming sessions in Fuerteventura (January 2024 and 2025) at venues like the Sunset Lounge in Corralejo, where she joined local bands at just 10–11 years old.
Festival Appearances and Early Recognition
Nancy gained local attention through her performances at Staxtonbury Music Festival, where she played on the main stage last year and has been invited back for 2026 by popular demand. She also won ‘Scarborough Search for a Star’ in July 2024 with a standout drumming and vocal performance, earning radio interviews and praise from festival organizers as one of the region’s most promising young talents.
Tonight’s Audition on Britain’s Got Talent
Filmed during the Birmingham auditions and aired tonight at 6:45 PM UK time (around 11:15 PM IST on ITV, ITVX, and STV), Nancy performed a dynamic drumming set filled with fast fills, powerful grooves, and joyful rhythm. Her technical skill and natural stage presence impressed everyone in the theatre.
The judges—Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, KSI, and guest Stacey Solomon—gave her a standing ovation and four yes votes to move forward. While no Golden Buzzer was awarded this time (following earlier ones for Paul Nunnari, Rafferty Coope, and Antigravity), Nancy’s audition perfectly fit the show’s tradition of celebrating dedicated young performers.
Why Fans Are Talking About Her
Clips from tonight’s performance are already spreading fast across the official Britain’s Got Talent YouTube channel and social media. Viewers are praising her confidence, speed, and infectious energy, with many calling her a “future rockstar” and “one of the best young drummers we’ve seen on BGT.”
Her appearance adds to a strong episode that also featured James Miller’s soaring vocals, The Skate Squad’s extreme stunts, Aditya Kodmur’s card-throwing challenge with KSI, and more.
Looking Ahead
With her advancement secured, Nancy is now on track toward the semi-finals. Her journey—from family duets and festival stages to the BGT spotlight—shows what dedication and support can achieve at a young age.
