Maisy Stella as Chloe, Tatum Grace Hopkins as Max on Prime Video Show Life Is Strange

The highly anticipated Life Is Strange TV series on Prime Video has officially cast its leads: Maisy Stella as Chloe Price and Tatum Grace Hopkins as Max Caulfield.

According to an exclusive report from Variety (published March 3, 2026), Maisy Stella will bring the rebellious, punk-rock energy of Chloe to life, while newcomer Tatum Grace Hopkins steps into the role of the introspective, time-rewinding protagonist Max.

This casting marks a pivotal milestone for the live-action adaptation of the iconic 2015 video game by Dontnod Entertainment (now Deck Nine for later entries) and Square Enix, which has built a massive fanbase through its emotional storytelling, branching narratives, and themes of friendship, grief, and moral choices.

The series follows Max Caulfield (Hopkins), a photography student who returns to her hometown of Arcadia Bay and reunites with childhood best friend Chloe Price (Stella).

When Max discovers she can rewind time—first using the power to save Chloe’s life—the duo investigates the mysterious disappearance of a fellow student, uncovering dark secrets in their coastal town that lead to an impossible, life-altering decision.

Maisy Stella, already familiar to audiences from her breakout role as Daphne Conrad in the hit series Nashville and her recent acclaimed performance in the film My Old Ass (opposite Aubrey Plaza), brings established acting chops and emotional depth to the fiery Chloe.

Tatum Grace Hopkins, making her major debut after smaller roles including the short film Meek, takes on the thoughtful, relatable Max—previously voiced by Hannah Telle in the games.

Showrunner and creator Charlie Covell (The End of the F*ing World, KAOS) is steering the project, with production handled by Amazon MGM Studios in collaboration with Square Enix, Story Kitchen, and LuckyChap.

The series was greenlit in September 2025, and this lead casting announcement has ignited excitement—and some fan debates—across gaming communities and social media.

No premiere date has been set yet, but the news has fans eagerly anticipating how the game’s signature choice-driven drama and time-manipulation mechanics will translate to the screen. More casting details, production updates, and first-look images are expected soon.

Stay tuned to Prime Video for developments on this time-bending mystery adaptation. Will the live-action Life Is Strange capture the heart of the original game? Early reactions suggest high hopes for Stella and Hopkins to deliver the iconic Chloe-Max dynamic.
